National Writing Project
Is it because that I have been a teacher for almost 50 years or because I am a mother and grandmother that I believe that education is the most important commitment that any society can make? And of all the factors that contribute to quality education, nothing is so important as an inspiring teacher. And everyone I ever knew who became a Writing Project Fellow came away fired up, inspired and inspiring. I have been involved in many different professional development programs. But in 1993 when I became a Writing Project Fellow, I came away a different person and a far better teacher. The National Writing Project is matched by none when it comes to promoting the best very teaching practices.
