Most Effective Grass-Roots Teaching Movement in America
The Boise State Writing Project has given me skills and confidence to teach my students how to learn for the long-term. Through the Writing Project, I have honed my twenty-five years of teaching into practical lessons, measurably and visibly increasing my students' reading and writing abilities.
National foundations have recognized the National Writing Project as the most effective grass-roots teaching movement in America for a reason: It works. Teachers teaching teachers and teachers becoming leaders in their own field of education ultimately lead students in to the 21st Century in literacy, technology and writing.
If I had to identify the one organization that could truly set American education on the right course, it would be the National Writing Project.
