Funding from the National Writing Project has assisted us in the Las Vegas area to put on a Writing Camp last summer and again this coming summer that has and will affect over 400 students.  These young people learn that writing is communication as well as a creative, worthwhile outlet.  They learn to write from the heart and with their intellect. 

The future depends on our youth to understand how to affect change and encourage progress through the written word. 

Without support from the National Writing Project, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to facilitate assisting students who cannot financially afford to attend the camp.  We must look ahead to the future now.  It cannot wait.
