I believe that teachers should teach teachers

I hope that Congresspersons and Senators will realize that teachers
teaching teachers IS the best and least expensive way to get really GOOD
education for all children who attend schools, but especially for those
in public education. Isn't this Congress' purview. I think it is.

We believe in our students and in the power of writing. We believe that teachers can learn, grow, support each other, and 'be the change' that we hope to see in our schools, communities, colleges and universities. We span the country and reach students from kindergarten through university and across the curriculum. The National Writing Project is the platform for our work. Restore its funding—help us make the difference we know we can make.
