Fight for the NWP

NWP through OSU. What can I say. A group of like minded educators devoting
their time to learn how to make writing more essential in the classroom.
Through NWP and OSUWP I have found a voice of my own, learned the pedogogy,
stole tricks and ideas that have made teaching writing more worthwhile and
exciting in the classroom. Not only do my students write, but now I do also
every day. It will be a tragedy to lose NWP in the nation of writers. Rose

We are educators and citizens writing with the hope that our legislators and government will come to understand the importance of the National Writing Project. We believe in our students and in the power of writing. We believe that teachers can learn, grow, support each other, and 'be the change' that we hope to see in our schools, communities, colleges and universities. We span the country and reach students from kindergarten through university and across the curriculum. The National Writing Project is the platform for our work. Restore its funding—help us make the difference we know we can make.
