A true program impacting the lives of teachers, and therefore every other life they teach, is exemplified in the Boise State Writing Project.

Deeper thinking, better learning,  partnerships, conversations - around teaching and students is what occurs within this program.

 

It is a true "grass roots" effect in education.  Over any other program in the State of Idaho, I have seen and felt the changes that teachers, parents and students wish to see through the BSWP. 

 

Better yet, the BSWP can support every program that is in the State of Idaho.  My school district recently brought in BSWP teachers to teach every teacher in the school.  It was incredibly well received (which isn't often the case in these situations).  This can occur at every level:  personal, department, staff, district, state department . . . .

 

Boise State Writng Project can run writing assessments; the research is working now!  Other states are doing this!
